Thundercat, born Stephen Bruner on October 19, 1985, in Los Angeles, California, is an American bassist, singer, and electronic music producer known for his genre-blending tracks that fuse jazz, funk, and soul. He gained widespread acclaim for his work on Kendrick Lamar’s *To Pimp a Butterfly* and his own album *Drunk*, earning multiple Grammy Awards. A former member of the band Suicidal Tendencies, Thundercat has also released music on Brainfeeder, the label founded by Flying Lotus.
