Four Tet, born Kieran Hebden on September 1, 1977, in London, England, is a British DJ and electronic music producer known for his eclectic blend of folktronica, ambient, and jazz-infused house. He originally gained fame as a member of the post-rock band Fridge before pioneering a solo career that redefined sample-based production. Hebden founded the label Text Records in 2001, which has become a respected home for his own genre-defying releases and those of close collaborators like Floating Points.
