Tricky, born Adrian Nicholas Matthews Thaws on January 27, 1968, in Bristol, England, is a British DJ and electronic music producer known for his pioneering trip-hop and experimental soundscapes. He rose to fame as a key member of the influential collective Massive Attack before launching a solo career. Tricky founded his own label, False Idols, which has released his boundary-pushing work as well as music from like-minded artists.
